2. Service Description

AssemblyNearMe is a technology platform that facilitates connections between customers seeking assembly services and independent service providers. We are not an employer of service providers and do not directly provide assembly services.

• Service providers are independent contractors, not employees
• We process payments and handle customer support
• Service providers set their own schedules and use their own tools

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining account confidentiality
• All activities under your account
• Providing accurate and current information
• Immediately notifying us of unauthorized use

4. Service Booking and Payments

For Customers:

• Quotes are estimates, final pricing may vary based on actual conditions
• Payment is processed through our secure payment system
• Service providers are paid after job completion and customer approval
• We charge a platform fee for facilitating the service

For Service Providers:

• You set your own availability and accept/reject jobs
• Payment is processed after customer approval, minus platform fees
• You are responsible for your own taxes and insurance
• Background checks and verification may be required

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Cancellation by Customer: Free cancellation up to 24 hours before scheduled service. Late cancellations may incur fees.
• Cancellation by Provider: We will help find a replacement provider.
• Unsatisfactory Service: Contact us within 24 hours for review and possible partial refund.
• No-shows: Full charge may apply if customer is not available at scheduled time.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any illegal purpose
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others
• Provide false or misleading information
• Attempt to circumvent our payment system
• Damage, disable, or impair the platform
• Use others' accounts without permission

7. Service Provider Requirements

Service providers must:

• Have necessary skills, tools, and experience
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
• Pass background checks (where required)
• Provide accurate service estimates
• Arrive on time and complete work professionally
• Clean up after completing assembly

8. Dispute Resolution

We facilitate dispute resolution between customers and service providers. If you have an issue:

1. Contact the other party directly to resolve
2. If unresolved, contact our support team
3. We will review and mediate as needed
4. Our decision in disputes is final

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for damages from use of our platform
• We are not liable for actions of service providers
• We are not liable for property damage during assembly
• Total liability is limited to fees paid for the specific service
